MoveAbout is proud to be an entirely youth-led theatre company that operates purely through the dedication and hard work of its leaders, actors, and technicians.

2025 Team 

McKinley Lewellen (Artistic Director) is ecstatic to be part of the MoveAbout team once again! They are a senior at Lowell High School and has participated in theatre for all four years of her high school career. They have recently participated in Lowell productions as Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, Rosie in Mamma Mia, and Alice in Alice in Wonderland. This will be their third year working as part of the MoveAbout team and they have helped direct the 2023 production of Murder on the Orient Express and the 2024 production of Almost, Maine. Outside of theatre, she enjoys hiking, watercolor painting, scouring the back aisles of Amoeba for old records, taking walks through parts of San Francisco she's never seen before, and being an avid member of Lowell's Lemon and Lime eating club. 

 Peregrine Kurpius (Assistant Management) is extremely excited to be involved with MoveAbout this Spring. They have been involved in theater at Lowell High School as ensemble in Mamma Mia as well as the King of Hearts and set crew in Alice in Wonderland. Peregrine  has been doing theater casually for 5 years. Outside of theater they enjoy aerial silks, Sea Scouts, and going to shows in the Bay Area punk scene.

​Aesha Gluck (Assistant Management) is ecstatic to be joining Move About for their first year! She doesn’t often preform but has acted as an assistant director in school in the past three years. Outside of theater Aesha enjoys painting, drawing writing and archery.

Golda Abelev (Assistant Management)  is incredibly excited to have been willingly roped into working with MoveAbout this spring. They’ve been participating in community theater for almost twelve years, participating in various, mostly Russian productions such as Buratino, Ordinary Miracle, and Don Juan. For the last two years they have been active as a backstage hand in the same community theater for youth productions, focusing primarily on set and costume design as well as stage management, as needed. Additionally they have been working as a theater camp counselor for the last four summers, which means they have a speciality in chasing 7-10 year olds. In the area of school theater, they were recently the Caterpillar in Lowell High School’s production of Alice In Wonderland. Outside of theater they enjoy fencing, odd clothes shops, and running the Lowell Biotechnology club.  ​

Danah Aroonchaipirom (Assistant Management) 

Imaan Ansari (Photographer/Public Relations) is thrilled to join the MoveAbout team this year! She is a senior at Lowell High School and has done tech for two of their shows. She was on set crew for Anonymous and production crew for Urinetown. She also photographed Urinetown, as well as other events in the theatre, such as band concerts. She enjoys both digital and darkroom photography, which she learned from taking classes from the Youth Art Exchange. Aside from photography, she enjoys doing speech and debate for Lowell’s Forensic Society, rock climbing at Dogpatch Boulders, and eating cheesecake.
